Creators, I know that creating stock photos or video can be a bit of a grind and pain in the ass, but right now it’s definitely a good time to build up your gallery. It's all about volume. Load it up with as much as you can. It's easy PASSIVE income for creators. Heck, here's something I shot and uploaded yesterday.
I know the very first complaint I’ll hear is “they only paid me $2.00 for my pic!” Yeah, that can be a bit of a drag when you start out. But, it’s all about volume and getting more and more of those pics or videos (or motion graphics, vectors, etc) selected. I wrote about the potential challenges of selling stock photography some time back, so I won’t go into all the details here. But I will continue to reiterate that if you’re a fulltime content creator and aren’t able to get out to handle gigs, stock photography and content creation is a great option for passive income.
Take some time to go through your old hard drives and upload anything you’re not using. Pretty much ANYTHING. Food shots, candid shots are the best, furniture, plants, whatever. Process them and upload them. I don’t make a ton of money off of stock, but it’s nice seeing each and every week a few bucks being earned from shots and videos I created YEARS AGO.
I’m rooting for all of you out there in this trying time. Give the likes of Adobe Stock, Shutterstock or even Blackbox Global a look. Keep creating. Keep uploading.
