What’s going on, folks? Hope you’re doing well. I’m unbelievable as always. Just doing what I do. I figured I’d put a lil’ bit of text here on my blog since it’s been a few weeks. Allow me to share/catch you up on what’s been happening in my world.
First up, my work-related info. I’ve finally gotten my first ever podcast on TWiT launched. That was a big milestone for me. I don’t think many would understand what I felt when I stood in front of those cameras. Gratitude is on the list, but maaaan it was quite humbling, too. The day of the shoot, my mind was all over the place. (Normally it isn’t.) All I could think about was my family dealing with me trying to make this career happen, my so-called friends thought my goal was “cute" or just humored me because it’s not a “real job,” my real friends that said do whatever you want without passing judgement, and “don’t forget to say thank you on air.” The show didn’t go off without a hitch, but it went well. I want the show to be short 20-minute episodes and I was able to hit that mark. Please hop over to the site and give it a download. I’d really appreciate it. It’s called Hands-On Photography.
Also, I spent some time developing my OTHER show on the network. This show is called Focus On Photography. It will be launching this week with episode one. This particular podcast will be a little different from Hands-On Photography (HOP). So please go subscribe and download “FOP,” that’s Focus On Photography.
In addition to my own shows, I was a guest on Because We Make with my man, Vinny and Ethan. I really appreciate them having me on for an interview. A lil’ emotional for me as I talked through that interview. Check it out here.
With all of this that has gone on, I hope to get myself into a better workflow. I’ve not quite found it yet because each week has been filled with crazy adjustments between filling in on other shows or even losing power for two days because of the power company forcing an outage. I’ll eventually figure out my daily “flow” and hopefully get back to more consistently creating content outside of work. Heck I’ve only shot maybe twice this month. Yikes.
