I Don't Usually Do Self Portraits, But. . . .

Some of you may know that each Thursday I host an on air hangout with the Smartphone Photographers Community I created on Google+. This has been a fun gig for me and I've enjoyed seeing people join in and enjoy it as much as I do.

Each week we do a show to discuss the photos we shared, tips, tricks and announce a weekly winner for the photo challenge. This week's challenge was themed "Portraits." We were to take portraits of people (not animals) or ourselves that depicted the persons emotion at the time of the shot or their personality. Here's my submission taken with my Galaxy Nexus and edited in Snapseed on my phone. Can you tell what my personality or emotion is from this shot?

I took another one after yoga class. The class usually ends with the lights off so it's really dark. Afterwards, I went outside for some sun to soak up some Vitamin D. You know I gotta soak it up to help with the healing in my hip implant.

As I said previously, I enjoy the Smartphone Photographers Community on Google+. If you're interested in being in our community and learning to be a better smartphone photographer, let me know. Check out this week's show below.
